#OOTD: Cinnamon, Spice & Everything Nice

Hi everyone and happy Thanksgiving to my American readers! Today's outfit of the day is a tiny throwback to warmer days, and features my go to fall/winter lipstick color called "Spice", by Revlon.

First Things First: The Lipstick

So if you've been following me for awhile you're probably thinking "wow this dark color is way different than the tones she normally wears!" Well you are right, however this fall I've decided to switch up my makeup routine and try different things! Think of it as an early New Years style resolution. However the reason I was so drawn to this color is because though it is dark, it is also very versatile. Therefore  you can wear it while dressed up or dressed down and it still looks suitable. Just something about this cafe Americano colored shade adds such a classic and demure look to any outfit.

The Outfit

As you all know, I love my neutrals. So when I came across this pretty tan Ralph Lauren sweater at the local Goodwill I just couldn't help myself! Other than the color the reason I love this sweater so much is even though it's light, it is still very warm and cozy as well! And I loved the button detailing, making the plunging neckline just that much more dramatic. I paired this pretty sweater with some simple light wash Ann Taylor skinnies.

To add a bit of fun to this outfit I threw on these adorable tan and black speckled shoes. I'm not sure of the brand but I found them while thrifting at the Red, White, and Blue store, located on route 65 in Bellvue.

Lastly, to complete this look, I have to mention my fabulous cat eye sunnies from Versona as well as my earrings and necklace set from Terry Jolo. These gorgeous shades add such a glamorous flare to this otherwise simple outfit.

I also chose to wear this beautiful hammered jewelry set to add some edge to my look. The statement necklace is just accented so well by the neckline on my sweater, really making it stand out, and I must say this piece is quite the conversation starter! The other cool thing about this jewelry is, when you purchase it, the proceeds go to funding parts of Africa to help small villages get clean drinking water. Gotta love buying things that help a great cause!

Again to my American readers, happy Thanksgiving, I hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday! And in the spirit of the holiday, I would like all my readers to know that I am so grateful and thankful for you all and the on going support you've given me this past year. You are all amazing and I love you! Now if you excuse me, I'm off to eat my weight in turkey and mashed potatoes!

#OOTD: Spiffed Up & Sporty (Feat. SheIn Round Neck Sweatshirt)

Wow! The weather here in the 'Burgh has sure been crazy nice for the end of November, so while out running errands and stopping by the new Fascino store front for my next story (details coming soon!) I figured why not take the opportunity to dress down a bit for a lazy Sunday and channel my inner sporty side. And what better way to do that than with a pair of Nike's, comfortable skinnies, and a nice, warm, over sized sweatshirt from SheIn!

Normally, I'm not one to dress down, however while running errands around the city and photographing stores, I figured "Why not? It's Sunday and I might as well be comfy!" not to mention this sweatshirt is adorable.

What's On Top?

Even though this typically isn't my normal style, the last time Merry from SheIn sent me a list of items to choose from I decided that perhaps I should change it up a bit. And I don't know if it's the unique way the shirt is sewn or if it was the blue padding on the elbows, but I gravitated towards it. I really loved the nice and easy laid back vibe that this piece gave my outfit. So much so that I even took the opportunity to wear my "Zero Friends" fitted cap by Alex Pardee along with it. I was also pleased that passerbys commented on how cozy I looked while atop Mount Washington!

Grey Daze

Now more typical, as you all know I am one for monochromatic style. I don't know what it is about neutrals but I just find them so classic and you just cannot go wrong with them! So, needless to say when I seen these grey light wash jeans at Kohl's I knew I needed them in my wardrobe! The great thing about them is though they are denim, the nice grey color of them make it easy to dress them up, or in this case dress them down.

An Impromptu #OOTD: Playful in Plaid

Burrrr! It got real blustery, real quick in the 'Burgh this past weekend. However I didn't let the snow flurries get me down, instead I used the rather wintery weather as an opportunity to bring out two of my favorite cold day essentials: my wool cap and my Banana Republic plaid coat.

To be honest with you I have no idea where this hat is form! I stole -I mean borrowed- it from my grandfather years ago when I first started college because it's so damn warm, which is just perfect for the cold Pittsburgh winters. I also thought it paired rather nicely with my Oscar de la Renta sunnies.

The great thing about this whole ensemble is though this coat is extremely warm, it is also incredibly light weight. This comes in very handy when you are out either for a little shopping trip, or just a simple Sunday stroll!
