#OOTD: Toes In The Sand (Feat. SheIn + Rocksbox)

Hi tides and good vibes. That is how I would describe my latest trip down to Delray Beach to visit my beau. Between soaking up the sun, strolling the boardwalk, and taking some trips to explore the night life in West Palm, (Note: Copper Blues is an awesome place to grab drinks!) I also decided to take the opportunity to style my newest dress from my sponsor SheIn as well as my latest Rocksbox set!

Take The Plunge

Since I've been trying to get out of my styling comfort zone recently and try some new things, when I saw this dress on SheIn, (and you may recognize it from my most recent Wish-list Wednesday Post) I thought it was so cute, but not something I would typically wear in much of any Pittsburgh weather. However since I'm now traveling back and forth to the sunshine state to visit John, I thought this dress would be simply perfect for the beach and Floridian night life, and it did not disappoint.

As I said, this dress isn't my typical style. Normally I go for glam/soft grung styles or a very polished look, so plunging necklines are not something you generally find in my closet. However something about this sexy beach dress caught my eye and on impulse I snatched it up.

The reason I liked it so much though is despite it's plunging neckline it has such a cool bohemian feel to it. I love the deep red and the muted pink and green of its floral pattern, all of these colors are just perfect for the fall season. I also adored it's capped sleeves and metal detailing at the waistline. Lastly, much like my other pieces from SheIn, I have to say this dress is made well and is super comfy! The only complaint I had with it is I wish it came in an size Extra Small instead of just a size Small because it was a tiny bit roomy in the bust.

So, to style this piece at the beach and for a night on the town (a big thank you to John for being a good sport about playing photographer for this shoot!) I decided to pair it with my Victoria Secret bikini top and my newest set from my sponsor Rocksbox! I just thought my SLATE etched pendant necklace was just perfect to add a little something extra to my dress. Then my Kendra Scott Arianna earrings as well as my Robyn Rhodes Agate Spear Cuff bracelet just compliment the look so nicely. Not to mention, that cuff has been on my wish-list forever!

Lastly, the other reason I loved this dress so much is though it's not a Pittsburgh-esque style, you can definitely spruce it up to be. To demonstrate it's versatility, once I got back to the 'Burgh yesterday I decided to style it with another piece of mine from SheIn, which is just a classic charcoal crew neck sweater

The reason I feel this works so well for a casual street style look is because of how laid back both the pieces are. And due to the cut of this dress, it gives the illusion of it being two pieces therefore when paired with a sweater like this, it simply looks like a chic fall skirt.

#OOTD: Flower Child (Feat. Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Precious Oil)

Ever since I was a little kid, there have been three things that have never changed: I love playing dress-up (though I suppose now that I'm an adult it's referred to as "modeling"), I love floral print, and believe it or not, I have always thought shoes are overrated.

IMG_0106.JPG

By this I mean when given the opportunity to go barefoot I will 100% take it. I've just always liked the feeling of grass beneath my feet, and though I'd never turn down a cute pair of shoes, I find them restricting and just very uncomfortable in general. So in today's outfit of the day, I decided to go shoeless while traipsing around the beautiful grounds of my old elementary school, Mount Gallitzin Academy.

Bloom

As I'm sure  you know, I'm obsessed with ModCloth and all things floral, so when I was lucky enough to be invited to an exclusive press event for their IRL Tour last month, this is one of the pieces I snagged! As soon as Lindsay showed all of us this piece I immediately fell in love with it. From it's retro vibe to the rich colors I just new I had to add this piece to my fall wardrobe.

The other thing I thought was adorable about this dress was it's flared sleeves which is a big trend this season. The reason I like it so much is because much like the bohemian look I styled a few posts ago, this style just gives the dress a more whimsical look. And what can I say, I've always wished I was born in the 1960s due to the culture, music, and fashion of that era, so naturally I was delighted by this piece.

Aside from pairing this piece with my silver hoop earrings and my Nakamol Brown and Gold Beaded Wrap Bracelet compliments of Rocksbox, I also paired it with Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb Precious Oil. Which I received the full size bottle free of charge from Influenster

Much like my love of floral print, I also love floral scents. So when Influenster informed me that they were sending me a full size bottle of Flowerbomb to try out I was thrilled! This perfume smells absolutely amazing. With hints of roses and orchids, every time I wear it I get compliments on how good I smell. So it's actually became my new favorite fragrance.

#OOTD: Flattering Fall Layers (Feat. SheIn)

Leaves are changing, the air is crisp, and pumpkins galore! Though fall has been in full swing for a couple weeks now, I'm just starting to really get into the spirit. So before I went downtown for some fall fun in South Side, I tested the temperature while making a run for my morning Americano and was pleased to discover at a breezy 67 degrees, it finally felt like fall. And at that, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to break out my new jacket compliments of my sponsor SheIn.

Autumn is for Army Jackets

Honestly, I've been digging the army jacket trend since earlier this year, however Pittsburgh's (unusually) warm spring this past season made it very difficult for me to style this piece earlier. However, now that the weather is cooling down and jackets with patch work are a major must have for this fall, I finally got the chance to show this baby off!

IMG_0105.JPG

The reason I love this piece from SheIn so much is because even though this chic jacket is light weight due to it being made of nylon material, its also just the right amount of warm to keep you cozy on a cool fall day. This jacket is also very well made and fits just right! I also loved the fact that it has deep pockets and that the collar and cuffs are extremely soft.

And just to brighten up my outfit a bit, I paired my dark green jacket with my yellow "Scientist" tee. This tee has been a favorite of mine ever since I received from SheIn back in March due to quirkiness. I really like the character the rough cut gives this tee, as well as the playfulness of the Einstein graphic. And I'm not going to lie, the compliments I get on this shirt every time I wear it helped it become a fast favorite too!

And lastly, as I hinted a few posts ago, I've gotten some major street style inspiration from fall fashion week this year. So to pull this whole urban look together I decided to wear my favorite boyfriend jeans (definitely a fall essential of mine) cuffed at the ankle just enough not to take away from my Anne Klein pumps. And as for the finishing touches, I added my cat eye sunnies from Versona, my Jenny Bird Flagstaff earrings, and my House of Harlow 1960 ring, both compliments of Rocksbox
